We are delighted to share that Mr Peter Allen has been appointed as the next Principal of Guildford Grammar School commencing in January 2023.
Peter is currently the Vice Principal of All Saints’ College, a leading independent Anglican co-educational early learning to Year 12 school located in the southern suburbs of Perth. Since 2019, Peter has held significant leadership responsibilities at All Saints’ College and led a number of important strategic and cultural initiatives for the school.
Prior to his current role, Peter was the Director of Teaching and Learning at Scotch College in Perth and the Dean of Teaching and Learning at Penrhos College. He has also previously taught at schools in Dubai and London for a period of eight years.
Peter is a graduate of Scotch College, holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History, Politics and Law and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Australia, as well as a Master of Education Leadership from the University of Queensland.
Peter has diverse experience in schools ranging from co-educational and single sex, day and boarding, independent, state and international settings. This diversity of experience reflects Peter’s commitment to enhancing the wellbeing and academic educational experience for students while developing active, vibrant and aligned communities. Peter has also lived in a boarding school setting which has provided insight into the unique experience for young people living and learning away from family during their important developmental years.
Peter’s appointment follows a comprehensive recruitment process which attracted a strong field of candidates. Peter excelled in the recruitment process. He has a strong strategic focus and impressive interpersonal skills with a humble and inclusive leadership style. He has a demonstrated ability to build authentic relationships with parents, students, staff and communities, and his values and beliefs closely align with those of the School.
Peter, his wife Lindsey and their children Isabella and Alexander look forward to joining the Guildford Grammar School community.

Peter will spend some time at Guildford Grammar School this year to commence his transition and become more familiar with the School. The School Council is excited at the opportunity to work with Peter and very much looks forward to his significant contribution to our school community.
