• A Fathering Project initiative, the Preparatory School Campout for Dads and Father figures will be held on the weekend of 6 and 7 April at the School’s property, Stronghills.  The weekend is a wonderful opportunity for dads and father figures and their sons and daughters to enjoy spending time together, try new activities and meet other members of the school community.
     
    Below is the schedule for the weekend and the activities, which include canoeing, archery, kite making and low ropes or just enjoy some relaxing time with your children.
     
    The cost of the campout is $25 per person, which includes a BBQ dinner and breakfast and the organised activities. To confirm your place on the camp please click here to register and pay.  Please note that places are limited, so if you would like to be part of this campout please book early.
     
    Dads or father figures participating in the campout must hold a current Working With Children card. If you require an application form please email communications@ggs.wa.edu.au or collect the form from the Preparatory School Reception.  If you already have a Working With Children Check card please email a copy through to communications@ggs.wa.edu.au.

     Schedule:
      
    Saturday 6 April 1.00pm – dads and kids arrive at Stronghills, set up camp
    2.00pm – welcome, safety briefing, afternoon tea
    2.30pm – afternoon activity through to 4.00pm
    4.00pm – chill time or explore
    6.00pm – dads get ready to fire up the BBQs for dinner
    7.30pm – time around the camp fire if possible, lantern stalk, damper making
    Sunday 7 April 6.30am – time to get up
    7.00am – the kids make a big cooked breakfast
    8.30am – morning activity through to 10.00am
    10.30am –pack up and head home
