International Students at Guildford Grammar School

Guildford Grammar School is one of the most beautiful and expansive schools in Western Australia, sitting on almost 110 hectares of undulating land, just 15 minutes from the Perth CBD. Our grounds, on the banks of the Swan River, offer plenty of open space and vast bushland for students to explore and experience Australia's unique environment and history.

Guildford Grammar School is an approved school to accept Full-Fee Paying Overseas Students and welcomes International students from Year 1–12.
Students are allocated places via the standard, non-discriminatory enrolment procedure. The maximum number of international students that Guildford Grammar School can have enrolled at any one time is specified by the Department of Education. Pre-enrolment information, including the rights and responsibilities of both parties, is outlined in the Education Services for Overseas Students, International Students Fees and Charges and Enrolment Application.

Boarding at Guildford Grammar School

Unless they stay with a parent in Perth, international students are required to reside in the School’s boarding house. We do not provide home stay arrangements. This ensures that the appropriate accommodation, care and support are available whilst the international students are away from their family homes. The Director of Boarding, and the School’s staff care for your child whilst they are at School.

Since the School's foundation in 1896, we have established a proud tradition of boarding. We aim to provide a home away from home for our domestic and international boarders. With a focus on providing an exceptional education our boarders form strong relationships and establish lifelong values during their time with us.

With over 100 years of experience behind us, we have developed the philosophy, customs and principles that ensure the personal development of our international boarding students.  At Guildford Grammar School you can expect:
  • A dedicated network of support staff who live and work alongside our boarders to create an extended family relationship
  • A comfortable and inclusive living environment that welcomes all
  • Academic support to ensure the academic needs of every boarder are met
  • A vibrant and extensive co-curricular and recreational program that enhances the social and physical well-being of all boarding students
All boarding students are to have a family-appointed local guardian. The School accepts duty of care of the international student once they have been signed in to the boarding house by the local guardian, and the School will relinquish responsibility when the local guardian signs the student out at the end of the academic term, during mid-term or for approved weekend leave.
