Sport

At Guildford Grammar School, we are passionate about sport. With breadth of opportunity at all levels, we believe that co-curricular sport and physical activity is part of a balanced education and students’ everyday lives.

Students are engaged in sports from the very beginning of their journey, and this is supported across the whole school with world-class sports facilities, experienced coaching staff and a range of competitive opportunities.

Preparatory Students in Year 5-6 participate in sport twice a week and all Senior Students participate in sport three times a week with the opportunity to represent the School in their chosen sport. Students can pursue personal excellence in our sports program and are empowered to choose their own sport. We provide opportunities to try new things in a safe and supportive environment that champions our values of sportsmanship, community, teamwork and service.

All students from Year 4-12 are required to take part in both a winter and summer sport and Senior School students are encouraged to take part in the co-educational Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) competitions and interschool carnivals. Preparatory students also take part in the Primary School Heads of Australia (IPSHA) competitions.

Read our Sports Handbook to learn more about our range of sports opportunities.
