Darlot Cup Luncheon reunites cricket legends, young and old

Guildford Grammar School will host a special luncheon, on Friday 8 June, to celebrate the 1st XI Cricket Team winning the PSA Darlot Cup for the first time in 32 years. The winning 1st team and key coaching staff will be joined at the lunch by members of previous Darlot Cup winning teams, dating as far back as 1946.

Amongst those attending the lunch will be former Australian cricketer and former coach of the Sri Lankan cricket team, Tom Moody, who was a part of the winning 1982 Darlot Cup team. Tom recently returned from coaching the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 Indian Premier League.

The Darlot Cup is the 1st XI cricket trophy of the PSA (Public Schools Association) and was first awarded in 1901. Guildford Grammar School has won the trophy 16 times, in 1914, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1946, 1959, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1982, 1986 and 2018.
