The July School Holiday Program has been released, and once again it is jam-packed full of exciting excursions and in-centre activities, from a Marvel Superhero Day to Suitacase Circus!
We are proud to once again host the Indigenous AFL Round, against Trinity College, on Saturday 27 May. All members of the community are invited to join us for this special sporting event.
We are delighted to have author Shane McCarthy in the Senior School this week as our Author In Residence. Shane is a freelance writer whose work has been published internationally by DC Comics, Marvel Comics and IDW Publishing to name a few.

Applications close at 2.00pm on Wednesday 31 May 2017.Guildford Grammar School has a long history of providing educational opportunities for Indigenous students. To date, over 150 Indigenous students have attended the School, dating back to our first Indigenous student, Charlie Burns, who attended from 1905-1909.
FOPS is proud to present a special Mothers' Morning Tea, which will be held from 10.30am on Friday 12 May, 2017 in the Preparatory School playground.
Registrations are now open for our June School Tour, which will be held on Thursday 15 June from 9.00am-1.00pm. The tour covers all years, from Kindergarten to Year 12, and attendees can opt to tour the Preparatory School, the Senior School, or both!
The Preparatory School Clubs program for Term 2 has been released and there really is something for everyone, with students able to select from 22 different clubs to join for Term 2!
Last night's Symphonies on Swan concert, featuring three Guildford Grammar School ensembles, with special guest Courtney Murphy, was a fantastic night and the perfect way to end the term.

If so, you need to join us for a very special event - Symphonies on Swan with Courtney Murphy - on Thursday 6 April from 6.00pm-8.00pm, on the grassed area near the Boat Shed.
Our March school tour is fully booked and several smaller tours will be arranged later for in Term 1 to meet demand.
Our Workplace Learning Program has produced some great outcomes for our students, including Year 12 student Samuel, who recently completed a very successful work placement at radio station News Talk 6PR 882. I
The Year 6 students recently enjoyed their camp last week, returning to the rebuilt Forest Edge Recreation Facility.
The 2017 Senior School Prefects were inducted this week, at two special Chapel Services in the beautiful Chapel of St Mary and St George.
In 1922 the new house system was introduced with two boarding houses, School House and St George’s House, and Stirling day boy house. By 1927 boarding numbers had grown to such an extent in School House that it was decided to form a new house. When the boys returned to school from the holidays in 1927 they were informed that there were now three houses. School House had been divided into two. There were a total of 90 boys in the Senior and Preparatory School, with 17 in the new Henn’s House.
The Chapel Card for Term 1, 2017 is now available.
Commencing on Thursday 16 February at 8.45am and running on a weekly basis, Cameron Fraser from Kāma Wellness is conducting yoga classes on the grassed area near the Boat Shed. Classes cost $15 per person, per session and bookings are not required.
A reminder to all music students in the Preparatory and Senior Schools that instrumental lessons begin in Week 2. Don't forget to register for our Music Meet and Greet BBQ!
Golf lessons for Preparatory School students will commence on Tuesday 7 February.
