Music for Grey Matter: A Music Teacher PD Day

The Guildford Grammar School of Music presents Music for Grey Matter: A music teacher PD day, which will be held on Thursday 15 September from 9.00am-3.00pm at the School of Music. This PD is designed for classroom teachers, instrumental teachers, music education students and tertiary music students who want to explore different approaches and pedagogies in the field of music teaching. It is also an opportunity to meet and work with two of Australia's leading music educators. Tickets cost $50 each and can be purchased online by clicking here.

The PD will include:

* A cultural performance by the Boodjar Bidi Dancers
* Session on honouring indigenous cultures through composition and performance
* Composition in the classroom
* Effective direction on a school jazz band
* Arranging for a school ensemble

Morning and afternoon tea and lunch is included and a PD certificate is available on request.
