500 stripey students and teachers to gather for huge "Where's Wally" photo!

11 Aug 2015

Around 500 Guildford Grammar School students, from Kindergarten through to Year 6, will dress up as Wally this Friday, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Book Week.  The students and staff will attend their assembly at 8.30am dressed as Wally, and will then gather on the School’s oval at 9.15am for a whole school “Where’s Wally” photo!
The idea was the brainchild of Teacher Librarian, Ms Brooke Vance, upon discovering that the Where’s Wally books featured three times in the top ten books borrowed in 2015.
Book Week is always a high-anticipated event at the School, kicked off each year with the annual Scholastic Book Fair. This year students and parents flocked to the library before and after school to pick up some fantastic book titles, with students lining up early outside the library in anticipation!
The School’s photographer will take the whole school photo, however members of the media are invited to come along and take their own photo.  Please contact Gillian MacDonald on 9377 9200 or email gillian.macdonald@ggs.wa.edu.au if you have any specific requests for a photo.
Inspiring students to achieve personal excellence and to be outstanding citizens who work to create a just, loving and peaceful society.
