Football greats join jersey presentation

The GGS football community were joined by AFL greats Darren Harris, Larry Kickett, Gavin Bell and Luke Miles at their jersey presentation last night in the Foundation Pavilion.

Darren Harris is a former West Perth WAFL player and coach who has worked as an assistant coach at the West Coast Eagles and development manager at the Carlton Football Club.

Larry Kickett is an Old Guildfordian (He 70-72) who played 227 WAFL games for East Perth and Claremont and is a life member at the East Perth Royals. He was selected to carry the torch for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and now serves as a member for the Western Australian Football Commission and an Aboriginal Mentor and Community Advisor for Chevron Australia.

Gavin Bell is a former West Perth WAFL player and Colts coach. He was selected as the WA State 16’s Coach before moving on to become development coach for the West Coast Eagles in 2008.

Luke Miles (Sc 99-03) is an Old Guildfordian who played in the WAFL for Swan Districts before being drafted by the St Kilda Football Club. He won the 2010 AFL Grand Final Sprint and has returned to the WAFL.
