MASTER MIND AUSTRALIA - STUDY SKILLS AND WACE REVISION PROGRAMS
FOR YEAR 12 STUDENTS
Week 1, Term 3 holidays (Monday 29th September to Friday 3rd October)

Following the success of our 2013 holiday revision programme, we have again chosen Master Mind Australia to conduct our Year 12 revision and study skill programs at Guildford Grammar School in the first week of the Term 3 holidays (Monday 29th September to Friday 3rd October), the week immediately before the Trial WACE examinations.

We have chosen to set up the revision program in the school holidays, based on feedback from previous students who suggested that straight after a full day at school was not the ideal time for extra, sustained study.

The schedule has been structured to focus on a more concentrated and in-depth revision of the year’s work.  Each subject will be a ten-hour course broken up into two hours a day for the five days. Also included in the program is a five-hour Study Skills class and a five hour Essay Writing program.

These revision programs will also be made available to students who attend other schools. Class sizes are capped at 12 which allows students the chance to discuss with the teachers any specific curriculum problems they might have.

Guildford Grammar School is committed to providing its students with the best possible chance of success in their WACE examinations.  To this end, we will subsidise the cost of the program for interested GGS students from $255 per subject as advertised in the brochure to $100. The cost of the Essay Writing program and the Study Skills course will also be reduced for GGS boys to $50 and not the public price of $125.

Dr Hallam, who runs Master Mind Australia, is an experienced provider of excellent WACE revision courses and we are confident that his team of expert staff will provide our boys with the best possible revision program to prepare them for their WACE examinations.
