The ATOM Awards celebrate the best of Australian and New Zealand screen content from the education sector and screen industry professionals.

Year 12 student, Benjamin Griggs, was also a finalist in the awards.

A group of Year 12 students have also been announced as finalists in the Atwell film festival in WA. This is a new competition in WA, and the boys have once again dominated the field with their work

In further media related news. Benjamin Griggs' film, A Day in the Life of a Librarian, has been selected to be screened at the Robin Anderson Film Awards on Friday 8 November in Sydney.

These accolades confirm Guildford Grammar School's position as one of the leading media schools in Australia.  Last year the School was officially named the Best Media School in Australia through the Bond University Film and Television Awards.  The year before, in 2011, then Year 11 student, Kian Esmaili, was awarded the Best Documentary Award in the Bond University Award.
