• The next Parent Forward Workshop is especially for our mums and is presented by Ms Janet Wilmot, Head of Pedagogy in the Preparatory School.  The workshop will be held on Tuesday 14 November from 7.00pm-8.30pm in the Foundation Pavilion.

This Parent Forward evening is especially for our mums!  Janet Wilmot, Granny J, mum, daughter, partner and friend will share her story.  A devoted mother and grandmother, passionate educator and champion of women, Janet believes in the power of women speaking out about their lives, their ambitions and successes, their fears and failures.  In 2014, Janet organised a conference for aspiring women leaders and as a follow up to this established a network for women in educational leadership in Western Australia.  It was through this event and as a result of the stories told by different women at meetings that Janet became convinced of the power of story.  She realised that it was not only the story of extraordinary women that mattered, they did; but so did the stories of all women, everywhere. Janet believes that women should share their stories to enable and empower others, to allow us to learn from and with each other and to let us know that there are people out there who care.  No one gets it 'right' but perhaps if we share together, we will rest assured that our best is okay, even is we muck up from time to time.
