As an adult seeing life through your lens (whether it be you in Kindergarten, Year 3 or Year 6 and all the stages in between) is so refreshing. You remind us how to see joy in every opportunity, how to be free from fear of the future and, most importantly, you see a world full of possibilities (not limitations).
You have an incredible gift, it is the way you connect with the heart. There is a Talmudic saying that always reminds me of you and the way you connect with others and with ideas.
“What comes from the heart enters the heart.”
You ignite empathy through your own empathy and you inspire caring though your own caring. Our kindness theme this term (and this year) was just one example of your massive impact on the School and our broader community. Because you truly believe in kindness and act with kindness you inspire us, these “old, tired, kinda grumpy people” (a person close to me describing me) believe in kindness more than ever because of the way you have inspired us. Thank you!
Are you ready for the latest challenge? We spoke about it at assembly and the pictures have already started coming in. Take a photo of you wearing your Believe There is Kindness shirt with someone in our community or in some special location. Email them in to me and we will create a video of all the places and people you have shared our theme with, and spread kindness GLOBALLY. You can do it.
Thank you to all grandparents and parents who support these amazing students. Enjoy a holiday or some time away from uniforms, ironing and finding that ‘lost’ homework item.
To our GGS Prep Students, enjoy, rest, READ, help without being asked, unplug, breathe deeply and keep spreading the kindness.
